About ePeople.ai

We built the platform we wished we’d had on the floor.

ePeople.ai was founded by skilled nursing operators — not Silicon Valley outsiders. We lived the 30-hour schedule builds, the payroll-week violation surprises, and the referral packets that sat too long. So we built compliance-first software, run by AI agents, to take that weight off every facility’s shoulders.

Our story

Born on the floor, not in a boardroom.

Every agent in ePeople exists because we needed it ourselves — and couldn’t find anything built for how skilled nursing actually works.

The systems we were sold all had the same blind spot.

Payroll-first platforms treated compliance as a report you ran after the damage was done. HR-first systems turned credential tracking into a reminder email. None of them were built around the one thing that can shut a facility down: staying compliant on every single shift.

We were spending nights rebuilding schedules by hand, discovering meal-break violations during payroll cleanup, and losing referrals because a 42-page packet sat unread until Monday. The tools weren’t helping — they were just storing the problem.

So we built ePeople: a compliance-first HCM where autonomous AI agents handle the routine work on every shift, and humans stay in control of the exceptions. The platform we wished we’d had.

“The goal was never to make people click faster. It was to take the routine work off their plate — so the team can be present for residents.”

  • Designed around real facility workflows, not generic HR templates
  • Tuned for California's toughest labor-law landscape
  • Compliance-first architecture — not bolted on after payroll
  • Humans keep control — agents handle rounds, you approve exceptions
  • Every decision logged and survey-ready by default
The journey

From one facility’s problem to a full AI platform.

The frustration

Living the problem firsthand

As operators, we watched skilled staff lose hours to scheduling, compliance paperwork, and referral triage — work that pulled them away from residents.

The insight

Compliance has to come first

We realized every existing platform put payroll or HR first and treated compliance as an afterthought. In skilled nursing, that order is exactly backwards.

The build

Four agents, one shared chart

We built autonomous AI agents for staffing, time & labor law, HR & training, and admissions — all running on one compliance-first record.

Today

Caring for facilities 24/7

ePeople now gives skilled nursing teams their time back, removes wage-and-hour risk before it reaches payroll, and helps facilities admit better-fit residents faster.

What we believe

The principles behind every agent we build.

🛡️

Compliance is care

Protecting a facility from violations isn't paperwork — it's protecting the residents and staff who depend on it. We build that priority into the foundation.

🧑‍⚕️

People stay in control

AI handles the routine rounds; humans make the judgment calls. Every action is transparent, logged, and reversible — automation you can trust and audit.

🌱

Start small, grow with proof

No rip-and-replace mandates. Launch one workflow, see the result, and expand when you're ready. We earn the next step every time.
